AYURVEDIC AROMATHERAPY
Ayurveda, the science of life, originated in India some 6,000 years ago and is considered the oldest form of medicine, referred to as “The Mother of All Healing”.
In Ayurvedic medicine, essential oils are though of as the fire of the plant that causes them to be therapeutic. Aromatherapy has been used in Ayurveda to balance out the 'Vata', 'Pitta', and 'Kapha' and help the body to return to, or stay in a state of balance.
WHAT IS AYURVEDIC AROMATHERAPY?
The word Ayurveda comes from the Sanskrit word ‘Ayu’ meaning ‘Life’ and ‘Veda’ meaning ‘Knowledge’. Ayurveda, meaning the science of life, originated in India some 6,000 years ago.
